Welcome to The White Hare Home and Holiday, where timeless design meets joyful celebration—all with a touch of magic.

We’re Ed and John, a married couple who fell in love with Provincetown over a decade ago. Like so many before us, we were instantly captivated by this special place—the energy, charm, and the people. Year after year, our vacations here felt more like coming home. So, when Ed retired and we started dreaming about our next chapter, there was no question: it had to be here.
We packed up our lives in New York and moved to Ptown to pursue a dream we’ve shared for years—to open a boutique that reflects our shared love for beautiful design, meaningful moments, and all things home and holiday. The White Hare is the joyful result of that dream.

Why the Name?

After Ed’s mother passed away, he began noticing white rabbits everywhere—quiet, mysterious signs that felt like something more. Over time, these encounters became a comforting symbol of presence, love, and new beginnings. The “white hare” has come to represent something deeply personal and spiritual for us—a reminder of connection, transformation, and magic. It felt right to give our store a name that holds such personal meaning.

John brings years of experience designing products around the world. He has an eye for beauty, detail, and craftsmanship—skills that shine through in every corner of the shop. Ed, on the other hand, is the heart of the store. After working from home for years, he was ready to reconnect with people. Warm, social, and always ready for a chat, he’s often the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk in.

Together, we’ve created a space that we hope feels welcoming, inspiring, and uniquely Provincetown. This town has embraced us, accepted us, and become part of our story—and now, we hope to become part of yours.
