We packed up our lives in New York and moved to Ptown to pursue a dream we’ve shared for years—to open a boutique that reflects our shared love for beautiful design, meaningful moments, and all things home and holiday. The White Hare is the joyful result of that dream.
Why the Name?
The name The White Hare comes from a place of love and memory. Growing up, Ed’s mom had the sweetest way of wriggling her nose like a bunny to make him smile. Born on Easter Sunday, she always had a bit of springtime magic about her—and bunnies became a happy little reminder of the warmth and joy she brought into the world.
When it came time to name the store, we wanted something that felt personal and full of heart. The white hare felt just right: a symbol of love, tradition, and the small things that make a house feel like home.

John brings years of experience designing products around the world. He has an eye for beauty, detail, and craftsmanship—skills that shine through in every corner of the shop. Ed, on the other hand, is the heart of the store. After working from home for years, he was ready to reconnect with people. Warm, social, and always ready for a chat, he’s often the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk in.
Together, we’ve created a space that we hope feels welcoming, inspiring, and uniquely Provincetown. This town has embraced us, accepted us, and become part of our story—and now, we hope to become part of yours.
